Brainerd Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of three outstanding leaders to administrative positions for the 2025–26 school year.

Dr. Karrie A. Boser has been named Principal of Brainerd High School.
Dr. Boser brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as Director of Teaching and Learning at Sauk Rapids-Rice and as High School Principal in Pierz and Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. Her career began in Brainerd as a Dean of Students. In addition to her K-12 leadership, she has worked as an adjunct professor at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Dr. Boser holds a Doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership from St. Cloud State University.

Taylor Demuth has been appointed Principal of Baxter Elementary School.
Demuth has more than 12 years of experience in elementary education, including roles as a principal, classroom teacher, literacy coach, and curriculum coordinator. A longtime member of the Brainerd Public Schools team, she is known for her instructional expertise and deep commitment to student achievement. Demuth holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration as well as a Sixth-Year Certificate in Educational Leadership, both from St. Cloud State University.

Jason Olson has been named Director of Human Resources.
Olson brings over 30 years of experience in human resource leadership across the public education and private sectors. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Human Resources at PMA. Prior to that, he spent 17 years as Director of Human Resources and Safety for Verona Area School District in Wisconsin. He is also the former owner of Strategic HR Solutions, LLC. Olson holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
