🕐 Tuesday, Nov. 11 • 1:00 PM • Nisswa Gym
We will gather to honor Veterans Day at 1:00 PM in the gym.
⭐ 4th graders will perform
🗣️ Three 5th graders will read Veterans Day poems
🎖️ Reserved seating for Veterans will be available in the front.
🪑 It will be pretty full as we will also have our student body in attendance. Thank you for understanding.
❤️🤍💙 We ask that students participate by wearing red, white, and/or blue in honor of our Veterans.

❄️ Winter Weather Reminder
If you peeked out your window this weekend, you may have noticed the first snow flurries! 🌨️
Temps have officially dropped — winter is here!
Please make sure students bring full winter gear starting Tuesday:
snow pants, boots, hat, coat, and gloves.
When the ground is wet, snowy, or just chilly — snow pants are required.

👉 Label everything! With 330+ preschool through fifth grade Warriors, many of our coats and boots look alike.
If you have a hardship getting gear, please reach out to the Nisswa Elementary office — we’ll do our best to support. 💙

🌬️ Winter Recess Guidelines
We go outside for 30 minutes of recess each day unless the temperature is below 1°F or the wind chill is -10°F or colder.
Please be sure students are dressed for that amount of time so they can stay warm, dry, and comfortable while playing outside. ❄️💙

⛄ Practice Makes Progress! Help your student practice putting on winter gear at home in this order: 👖 Snowpants 🥾 Boots 🎩 Hat 🧥 Coat 🧤 Gloves last — tuck them under sleeves to keep the snow out! ❄️
